Almost $4 Million in Federal Grants Help Lane Transit District Go Electric

$3,952,851 in federal grants will support upgrades to zero-emission electric buses for Lane Transit District. The plan is to replace a total of 25 old diesel vehicles with electric buses by 2023, which is a quarter of LTD’s total fleet. Each electric bus reduces emissions by up to 93%, said Kelly Hoell, LTD’s sustainability program manager.
