Portland General Electric and the City of Beaverton Announce Plans
to Bring Electric Avenue to Beaverton Town Square

To celebrate National Drive Electric Week, PGE and the City of Beaverton announced plans to expand public access to electric transportation with a new EV charging station at Beaverton Town Square.

"This new EV charging site is part of our ongoing work to invest in charging infrastructure to reduce carbon emissions and support electric transportation," said Maria Pope, president and CEO of PGE. "Our partnership with the Beaverton City Council and Mayor Doyle is an example of how working together accelerates Oregon's transition to a clean energy future."

Located on the corner of Southwest Canyon Rd and Southwest Broadway, the planned installation will be easily accessible from major throughways and will allow up to six EVs to charge simultaneously. Powered by 100% renewable energy, the new addition to PGE’s Electric Avenue Network is expected to be operational in 2020.
