Ford speeds ahead into the EV world

Ford has only offered a handful of electric vehicle options to date – with just one all-electric model and three plug-in hybrid models – but that is about to change in a big way next year.

Ford announced in October that it’s going full-throttle on EVs and will soon have the largest network of charging stations in North America. Next year, Ford will introduce an electric crossover SUV. An electric Ford F150 pickup is in the works, too.

Ford’s charging network will include more than 12,000 stations and 35,000 plugs in the United States and Canada – almost three times what current industry leader Tesla now commands.
