$12.5 Million Awarded across Oregon for Projects that reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

The Oregon Department of Transportation has awarded 15 projects across Oregon that foster reducing transportation greenhouse gas emissions. The funding comes from the federal Carbon Reduction Program which had it’s first round of competitive grant applications earlier this year. Eligible projects were in urban and rural areas of the state with populations under 200,000. Cities, counties, tribal governments, and local and state transportation agencies were eligible to apply.
