ODOT to Launch New EV Charger Rebate Program June 13

The Oregon Department of Transportation’s Climate Office has $1.75 million in rebates available for electric vehicle charging in communities throughout Oregon. The rebate will be open from June 13 to August 15, 2023, or until funding runs out. The program is the latest step in the Community Charging Rebates Program.

What you need to know:

  • Eligible applicants include private businesses, nonprofits, public entities, tribal governments and businesses, and owners of multifamily home complexes.

  • Eligible project site locations must be at multifamily homes or publicly accessible parking areas in Oregon.

  • Rebates range from $4,250 - $5,500 per EV charging port or up to 75% of eligible project costs, whichever is less.

  • Rebates will be awarded first-come, first-served.

  • Seventy percent of first-round funding is reserved for projects in rural areas and disadvantaged communities, where gaps in EV charging infrastructure are largest.
