More, Equitable EV Charging Coming to Portland
On Wednesday, Portland City Council unanimously approved the city’s Bureau of Transportation’s EV charging in the right of way project, which sets Portland up to increase public charging stations for electric vehicles throughout the city while focusing on accessibility and affordability for residents of all kinds.
The program will allow vehicle charging companies and utilities to install public chargers in areas throughout the city that currently lack the infrastructure – increasing charging reliability, affordability, and accessibility for renters and those living in multi-dwelling units that are currently without access to EV chargers.
